This is where I list some of the projects I'm working on (that are at least partially functional). There's no assurance that links and code will always be correct in these projects, and they may not work at all. I encourage you to give me
feedback if something doesn't work (even if I already know, it will point out that others are noticing the error), or if you have ideas for improvements.
Ideas for some future Projects:
- Color scheme chooser for the main page(s), sidebar.
- Possibly a Wiki page for my friends where they can add links/whatever.
- A better way to integrate error pages on subdomains (right now they don't use includes like all the normal pages do, they use the actual HTML).
- Sending the comments to email and a database, so that I can read them without having to check my email.
- A PHP guide, that I expand as I learn. I'm still learning, so maybe someone can learn from the mistakes I make.
Of course, that is just a partial list, and not all of them will be done anytime soon, or ever.
We use all <table> tags and such in the design of our site, and the code looks horrible. I redesigned it with divs instead of nested tables, making it much cleaner. There is some basic design changing options, such as to remove the color from the boxes, adding text to boxes, etc.
Rarely do you see a well designed website using bright colors and backgrounds. Can it be done and look tasteful? I'm not sure, but I'm going to try. Thought it would be a fun task to tackle, and give me a chance to learn which text colors look best on bright backgrounds.
I've always thought this was pretty cool to have a resizable rounded table (as in when you increase text size, it uniformely increases size, including the rounded corners. Never quite been able to get it just right though, thought I would work on it a bit more.
Yea I know, not technically a new project or anything, but as I love doing photography, I really wanted a better system to use with photos. It will change a lot as time goes on, so this is an "ongoing project" so to speak. It's using the Coppermine backend.
